Below are a series of job openings at Lingua Verna, where we are devoted to teaching spoken Levantine Arabic (meaning the Lebanese, Palestinian, Syrian, and Jordanian dialects). Please read the General Requirements in detail before considering any of the specific roles below.
All positions are remote, and we have no geographic limits for employment. However, because most of our students are in North America, we require all instructors to be available during US hours, which means leading classes and/or private tutoring calls after people get home from work. For example, this could mean leading a 6-7pm call in California. Generally, we expect instructors to be available from 6-10pm EST three or four nights per week.
All applicants must have a minimum of 12-months experience in paid language teaching, either as a part-time or full time job. 24-months is preferred.
Other teaching and educational experience - for example, employment at a school, having a degree in education, or previous work teaching a language besides Arabic - will be taken into consideration when reviewing applicants.
All applicants must be native speakers.
We only consider applicants seeking a long-term career in education. Those looking for extra hours outside of a non-education job, or those looking for part-time employment while completing their studies need not apply.
