This page provides an overview of the Lingua Verna affiliate program and is exclusively for potential or current partners. It is divided into three sections:
Part 1 - Overview of the beginner course we offer students
Part 2 - Describes the financial structure of a partnership
Part 3 - Details how we support partners in launching the program
At Lingua Verna, we promote access to the Arab world through culturally relevant programs that make learning spoken Arabic Fast, Fun, and Affordable, while paying living wages to our partners in the Middle East.
We offer a 3-month, instructor-led, online Arabic course called Levantine Arabic Foundations. Classes meets twice weekly via Google Meets.
Designed for Total Beginners or False Beginners (those who have some exposure to Arabic but would benefit from revisiting the basics).
Taught by a native Arabic-speaking instructor with ten years of experience teaching spoken Arabic.
Enrollment is $400. This price is exclusive to our affiliates - normally $500.
At $400, our program is priced 40% below the market average. Compare our $15 per hour, to the average of $25.
Note that most competitors charge for third-party textbooks, while we produce our own curriculum and provide it free. Additionally, we are the only company offering flexible scheduling.
Affordability. No program offers small-group speaking opportunities with native speakers at our price (see above).
Flexibility. Our unique combination of large-group instruction & small-group conversation allows our class to fit any schedule (explained below).
Speaking. A full hour is devoted to Arabic conversations each week in small groups of 4-6 students.
Community. Students build deep friendships with like-minded peers who meet virtually each week for instructor-led discussions.
Throughout the 13 weeks of Levantine Arabic Foundations, students move through 3 distinct phases, each with unique goals.
Phase 1 - Arabic ABCs & 123s. 3-week framework for learning the Arabic alphabet as it's used in the Levantine dialect.
Phase 2 - Building Blocks. 5-week system for mastering the 250+ most common words and basic grammar needed for every-day living.
Phase 3 - Flawless First Impressions. 4-week progression for learning the basics of meeting someone, including greetings, asking questions, talking about yourself, and saying goodbye.
We use a flexible scheduling system that is unique to our program. Each week consists of two sessions:
Session 1 - Instruction. Students start each week on Sunday evening with a live, large-group instructional call where they learn the new concepts and vocab for that week. We record it live, and nothing is scheduled for 48 hours after that, allowing ample time to catch up if they miss it.
Session 2 - Conversation. Each students a small-group time during the week that works best with their schedule. They meet during that time slot with a small cohort of 4-6 students and their Arabic-speaking instructor who will help them apply what they learned in session 1.
United States. We provide times that work throughout the United States, regardless of time zone. The below schedule is in EST.
Europe & MENA. Groups meeting 1-2pm & 2-3pm EST, which is 6-7pm & 7-8pm CET, are reserved for Europe- and MENA-based participants.
Sunday: 1-2p or 7-8pm (two choices), large-group call for teaching new concepts and vocab.
Monday (optional): If students miss the Sunday call, they can use this time to watch the recording of the teaching so they don't fall behind.

We spared no expense in the production of our content. Partner organizations are invited to view representative samples of our short-story video content, learner-friendly translations, and instructional material at the above link.
We structure our financial partnerships in a way that is mutually beneficial through the duration of the students’ engagement with our programs.
Functionally, this means that we share a fixed percent of the revenue we receive from our students, and that percent scales as the number of students who sign up increases. All figures assume a $400 program fee.
20-200 students: 20% revenue shared
We share a generous 20% of our top-line revenue with affiliate partners who meet a minimum threshold of 20 lifetime sales.
200+ students: 30% revenue shared (50% increase)
As a bonus, we backpay all previous commissions to make them a 30% revenue-share. In other words, once you hit 200 sales, we send through a $8,000 bonus.
$6,400 - One fall class, one spring class, each with 40 students. 80 students total.
$12,000 - One fall class, one spring class, and one summer class, each with 50 students. 150 students total.
$31,200 - 65 students per class (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall). 260 students total.
